Thank you for letting us know that you value our reference desk services! You are correct that we do step away from time to time, but we do our best to have the desk covered until 9 pm Monday - Thursday. Please encourage your students to go to the circulation desk if they do not see a librarian - the student at the circulation desk should know when the librarian will return. If a librarian cannot be at the desk for some reason, the circulation student may be able to help them (e.g. finding a book) or they can send an email to askref@hollins.edu and we will respond to them as soon as possible.
