We’re glad you like the write-ins! Currently, we have three separate types of write-ins: two for students in their first year at Hollins, one for National Novel Writing Month, and write-ins every week during J-Term for thesis writers. Other people have mentioned that they would like to see more write-ins – we will certainly consider adding more, especially if there is a specific reason for the write-in. Let us know if you have any specific ideas!
Keep in mind that all of the resources available during a write-in are always available at the library – writing resources, reference librarians, and Writing Center tutors. The only thing missing is the food, which you can always bring in the library :)
