If there’s a particular type of comfy furniture you’d like to see, please let us know by e-mailing lvilelle@hollins.edu. We have made area-by-area improvements in recent years (for example, the armchairs in the Reading Room, the beanbag chairs in the Juvenile section and the ground floor, and the lamps with USB and electrical outlets), but the chairs for the carrels have remained the same. We won’t be able to do a complete overhaul anytime soon, but we will look at mixing in some newer chairs around the library.
