It is completely understandable that by your senior year, our instruction sessions can seem repetitive. Quite often, the reason for this is the mix of students in each class. When a class contains not just seniors, but also first-year and transfer students, professors request specifically that the librarians cover “the basics” to ensure that newer students aren’t confused or left behind. We try, when we can, to vary the content of our sessions and we will continue to try. In the meantime, if you would like to talk about more advanced research techniques, our librarians would be thrilled to work with you! Contact your subject librarian to make an appointment – and we’ll work on your project and on your level.
