    "When I have texted questions to the librarian (it was mid-afternoon on a weekday), I didn't get a response until a week later. I have wished that the text messaging service was faster because there have been times it would have been awesome to get a quick response. I think the idea is a great one, but the actual reply is not there."

    We're sorry you had a bad experience with the texting service, but happy to receive feedback about it. We're working on an auto-reply feature to text messages, which provides a link to the hours our reference service is active and a direct email address for our reference staff if you don't hear a response to your question within a certain amount of time.
