Finding authoritative articles can be difficult. Although Hollins doesn’t have the same science resources as a large university, we have a number of ways you can find and acquire peer-reviewed articles. Meeting with a librarian (e.g. James Miller for Bio) is a great first step because they can show you techniques for finding sources. There are also a number of ways of filtering your results in the databases, so you the results are only peer-reviewed or scholarly articles. For journal articles we don’t own, you can use interlibrary loan, a service which allows Hollins to acquire articles from other universities.
